WomanSpeak Connect is a unique event, where story meets networking. A gathering where women have an opportunity to enhance their communication skills, boost their confidence, and connect with like-minded women.
There is a focus on autobiographical storytelling and inspirational talks.
The different elements of our time together will enable us to take down the mask that is so easy to wear in regular networking events.
Connect & Communicate through sharing personal stories; prompts are available to ignite stories that may have been long forgotten.
Listen Deeply to each other - Through the practice of fertile listening women have the opportunity to be heard in a way that they cannot help but blossom.
Celebrate and Validate - A place where the validation and celebration offered reinforces each woman’s understanding of the impact, they offer from sharing their lived experience with an audience.
WomanSpeak led spaces are a place where women cultivate self-trust and uncover their deeply held knowledge and aspirations.
The sharing of stories throughout the gathering is in pairs or small groups and some ladies attending have an opportunity to share their story with the whole group which is purely optional.
Word from Megan…
This is a wonderful opportunity to focus on storytelling, a much-needed skill in today's business landscape. My intention is to foster a supportive and vibrant space where women flourish. A place of deeper connection. I invite you to immerse yourself in our warm and encouraging community, where networking takes a meaningful twist. Attending a WomanSpeak connect event will give you an opportunity to establish lasting collaborative partnerships, exchange ideas, offer and receive support.
This is no ordinary networking...
- To start the event there will be an explanation of the event proceedings and the women will be introduced to two powerful **WomanSpeak** practices- Fertile Listening and Celebration & Validation
- Three rounds of pairs of women sharing a story with each other. This sharing is short and snappy just allowing the words to flow. *
- After the women have shared, the other women offer celebrations which is a way of reflecting back what stood out to them. This is a way of validating the women sharing and reinforce how they are seen and heard and how this is valuable.
In the first half, half the participants are sharing stories and half are the listeners, then there is a swap over for the second half.
- Break 10 min
- Storyteller of the month (pre-organised) - a 7 min story from their life.
- A repeat of the first half story sharing in pairs.
- We then have a closing where women share what has stood out for them from their time together.
What is WomanSpeak?
WomanSpeak - empowering women in enterprise and female creatives to share what is most important to them.
WomanSpeak is a Public Speaking, Leadership Personal Development Program - The study undertaken in a female-centric women's circle which takes women on a journey to uncover their innate wisdom and unique learning, and insights gained from their lived experiences.
I believe sharing this knowledge is exceptionally valuable and it is vital that it is shared within our communities.
