In her new trial show Detached, Diana dives headfirst into modern intimacy: dating disasters, therapy breakthroughs, praise kinks, friendship, feminism, mortality, and the quiet relief of learning you don’t actually have to live life the “normal” way. From being chronically friend-zoned to accidentally planning her own death, from Tinder creeps to the genuinely nice guy, nothing is off limits and everything is funny.With razor-smart storytelling and punchlines that swing from tender to outrageous, Diana invites audiences to laugh at the stuff we’re usually too embarrassed to admit out loud. The result is comedy that feels like a big hug… if that hug swears a bit and occasionally trauma-dumps.

Diana McLaren is an Illawarra based stand-up comedian, writer and professional oversharer, turning life’s most uncomfortable truths into deeply cathartic comedy. Warm, sharp and gloriously unfiltered, her work lives somewhere between group therapy and a late-night group chat — equal parts heartfelt, chaotic and hilariously honest.
