WOCB Open Poetry Night - Fundraiser

The theme of our upcoming poetry night is resilience. In light of the ongoing genocides in Palestine, Sudan, and Congo, as well as the continuous injustices faced by marginalised communities worldwide—particularly women of colour who are often overlooked in terms of basic protection yet remain steadfast as protectors and heads of their families—this event holds even greater importance. Many of us from immigrant and minority backgrounds can deeply relate to this reality.

To support these communities, we will be collecting donations through Eventbrite for those unable to attend, as well as in-person donations on the night of the event. All proceeds will be distributed among reputable charities aiding Gaza, Sudan, and Congo.
