About Cyla...Cyla Bagolan is a lifelong dancer from Brazil with a background in Argentine Tango, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Samba, and West African dance, as well as Yoga and Flowing Arts. For the past 15 years, she has devoted herself to tango, teaching and organizing events for over a decade.
With a Master’s in Education and over a dozen years of experience teaching mathematics at the high school and college levels, Cyla brings a deep understanding of how people learn to her tango teaching. Her classes blend structure and creativity, emphasizing clarity, connection, and body awareness.
She is also a hula hoop dancer and flow artist, known for her playful yet mindful warm-ups that enhance balance, coordination, and freedom of movement. Cyla’s teaching invites dancers of all levels to explore tango with curiosity, joy, and confidence.

Use refined ochos as a launchpad for sacadas, focusing on rotation, timing, and shared space.
