About this Event

Looking for a job with purpose? Join us on Thursday 2nd October 2025, 10am–3pm, at the WMJobs Public Sector Careers Expo. Meet employers from across the West Midlands, explore career options, and attend practical workshops. Free entry, with a quiet hour 10–11am for neurodiverse or anxious visitors.

Whether you're graduating, returning to work, ready for the next step in your career or just leaving education - this event brings together organisations from across the West Midlands Region so you can explore careers that make a difference, alongside practical information and guidance to secure your next role.

You'll have the opportunity to browse stands, find out more about organisations and attend workshops which focus on practical skills from digital tools to interview tips, to support you in your career journey.

Although attending doesn't secure you a new job, you'll leave knowing which organisations are near you, who you'd like to work for and how to position yourself for success.

From IT to data, planning to social care, finance to HR, engineering to housing - you can hear first-hand what it's like to make an impact where you live.

You'll also learn more about the public sector, the benefits of working for your local council and entry routes such as apprenticeships and the Local Government Graduate Programme (previously National Graduate Development Programme).

Entry is free to all jobseekers!

*10AM - 11AM is an allocated hour for neurodiverse or anxious jobseekers who would like to explore at a calm pace.

Please note: The workshop schedule is being finalised and if you are registered, we'll let you know when it's released!
