WM Elkridge Recycling Facility Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

WM is hosting the grand opening of the WM Elkridge Recycling Facility in Elkridge, Md. The newly built facility, which replaces WM’s previous recycling facility at this location, is one of the largest WM recycling facilities in the country and uses advanced technology to process up to 65 tons of material per hour. The facility serves residents and businesses across Maryland, Virginia, and the D.C. metro area.

This facility is part of WM’s previously announced enterprise-wide plans to invest approximately $1.4 billion in new and upgraded recycling facilities across North America, which is expected to add 2.8 million incremental tons of capacity annually between 2022 and 2026. As the demand for recycled content is anticipated to rise, these planned investments are expected to enable WM to capture more recycled materials and increase access to recycling for customers.

Parking information:
Due to limited space at the recycling facility, guests are asked to park at the “Washington Boulevard Marketplace” (7540 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, Md. 21075), which is located on Washington Boulevard before turning on Kit Kat Road. WM will provide a shuttle to and from the Elkridge Recycling Facility for guests. The shuttle will run from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m.
