WORLD JAZZ LIVE SESSIONS-2025 A PortCaia Festivals Production
Dear World Jazz lovers
It gives me great pleasure to announce the return of the World Jazz Live Sessions to our beautiful town, now taking up residency at
THE NEPTUNE BASEMENT JAZZ CLUB, on the Harbour in Folkestone.
In keeping with tradition, the jazz events will be held at the last Thursday of every month starting from April 24th 2025.
The aim is to continue to welcome outstanding musicians from different cultural backgrounds of jazz and share the natural diversity of the genre.
We have an outstanding calendar of world jazz events coming up from April to October 2025.
Do join us at THE NEPTUNE BASEMENT JAZZ CLUB on Thursday, April 24th to celebrate the reopening of the monthly World Jazz Live Sessions.

John Pearce on piano
Alan Barnes is a prolific international performer, composer, arranger, bandleader and touring soloist.
"Barnes’s unique musicianship, indefatigable touring, and warm rapport with audiences have made him uniquely popular in British jazz.
He has received over 25 British Jazz Awards, most recently in 2014 for clarinet, and has twice been made BBC Jazz Musician of the Year".
