Whether you're a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the universe of Warhammer 40,000, this league offers the perfect opportunity to sharpen your tactical skills, paint your miniatures, and make new friends in the hobby.
League Details
• Duration: 2 months of thrilling battles and hobby fun
• Format: Warhammer 40,000 Combat Patrols
• Location: Wizard's Alley, your favorite local game store
What to Expect
• Weekly Matches: Engage in fun and friendly skirmishes each week. Battle it out in exhilarating Combat Patrols as you lead your forces to glory. The focus is on enjoying the game and improving your strategies. It is an open format to play whomever you would like. But you cannot play the same opponent back to back.
• Hobby Time: Showcase your artistic talents and bring your miniatures to life. Throughout the league, we'll have dedicated hobby nights where you can share painting tips, techniques, and progress with fellow enthusiasts.
• Encouragement & Support: We're here to foster a positive and supportive environment. Experienced players are encouraged to mentor newcomers, offering advice and guidance both on the battlefield and in the painting studio.
Prizes and Scoring
ENTRANCE FEE: There is no entrance fee, but we encourage you to support Wizard’s Alley for the gaming space they've provided, even if it’s just a drink or two on game night!
RULES:
• 1 point for playing a game. You cannot play the same opponent back to back (10 max points per month)
• 1 point for finishing a unit in your combat patrol that was not previously complete prior to league start. (3 max points per month)
• 1 point for bringing a friend to play a learning game. (2 max points per month)
• 5 points awarded for getting a brand-new player to join the league and purchase an Combat Patrol box (or equivalent) from the store. League participants will receive 10% off of any combat patrol purchase.
• All games must be played at Wizard’s Alley
At league's completion, votes will be tallied for:
Best Sport (5 pts)
Best Overall (5 pts)
The People’s Champion (5 pts)
• Best Painted Combat Patrol: A chance to display your beautifully painted miniatures and earn recognition for your artistic efforts.
• Best Overall: Awards for outstanding gameplay, strategic prowess, and sportsmanship.
• The People’s Champion: Celebrating those who embody the spirit of the league by encouraging others and contributing to the positive atmosphere.
