Birmingham’s choir with a difference, notorious, presents With Love From Brum this month, a celebration of the diversity of the city’s music, at the former home of one of Birmingham’s founding fathers, Joseph Chamberlain.
Join us at Highbury Hall in Moseley for a special evening where we recognise how the collision of the city’s styles and social and cultural influence gave birth to a diverse range of musical genres.
There will be songs from ELO, Jamelia, Duran Duran, Edward Elgar, John Joubert and the Fine Young Cannibals to name but a few. We’ll also revisit an early notorious commission from Birmingham original Ian Chapman, ‘From Born to Cornwall’, bringing back some weird and wonderful memories from the early days of the choir.
To boost the Brummie connections, we’re joined by the Highbury volunteer team for tours of the house plus stalls from local independent creators, led by From Brum With Love.
There’s limited capacity for this gig, so get in quick and book your tickets – we look forward to seeing you there!
