SAT Aug 16 @ 11AM. When Christ was betrayed and led by the mob to the high priest’s house, John followed as did Peter, except John traveled with Jesus. Even when John left Jesus momentarily to ask them to open the porch door for Peter, John’s heart was with Jesus. That’s why John quickly returned to Jesus. However, Peter followed at a distance and remained at a distance. He never went inside the house with Jesus. Why? What was going on in Peter’s heart? We will examine this story leading up to Peter’s denial of Christ and apply important lessons to our own lives. This is the second presentation in our King of Hearts Series.
