WISE Workshop: Parenting a Child with Extreme Demand Avoidance

Parenting a child with extreme demand avoidance can be challenging and strategies can often feel counterintuitive.
Our children can present as controlling and are often misunderstood, but most of their behaviours come from a place of high anxiety.
This workshop will consider:
* What do we mean by extreme demand avoidance?
* What are demands?
* Differing presentations you might see.
* Strategies for dealing with avoidant behaviours.
These sessions are open to all parent carers in Somerset who have a child with additional needs and/or a disability.
