About this Event
A local 5km walk where you can connect with like-minded, forward thinking women, get out in nature and squeeze some exercise, mindfulness and reflection in at the same time - without having to travel too far out of Manchester.
WHAT'S THE PLAN?
For this walk we'll meet just outside the entrance to Chorlton Waterpark in the carpark (free parking and toilets available)
We’ll set off promptly at 9:30 and do a 5km ish (3 miles ) route off road. We’ll be back at the carpark between for 11am
There will be a theme to inspire reflection and conversation
Along the way I’ll lead a couple of mindfulness nature based meditations to help you feel calmer, more present and connected to the environment.
The route will be easy - off road and flat, mostly on gravel paths or grass tracks.
We'll be regrouping regularly so that no-one is left behind.
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING?
We'll walk whatever the weather brings, so bring a waterproof if it looks like rain (this is Manchester, after all! )
Footwear: Trainers will be fine, but feel free to wear walking boots or wellies if you prefer.
Bring some water or a flask if you'd like a drink along the way.
Please note that if using a satnav/googlemaps for driving directions, the postcode on eventbrite will not take you to Chorlton Water Park. I recommend using "74 Maitland Avenue" and then following the signs for the waterpark if you are using a satnav.
