Experience the Legacy of Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass
Join us on October 11 and 12 in Dorchester, MD for an unforgettable journey through history. Walk the plantation where Harriet Tubman escaped and bravely guided enslaved people to freedom. Take a ferry to the Water’s Edge Museum, trek along the Underground Railroad, and visit Frederick Douglass’ home and church.

Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Tour on October 11 and 12

Info: Our tour begins with the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Museum, 4068 Golden Hill Road Church Creek, MD 21622
Next, we visit country store where Harriett Tubman sustained assaulted.
Then, we visit Harriet Tubman historic birth site, Mural, and statue at Cambridge Court House, Black Lives Matter Plaza and Harriet Tubman Center
We will fide through Pine Street civil rights historic places, SNCC , tour William Still Center, James Webb Cabin, Linchester Mill, and walk the Underground Railroad (optional) and take a hayride to the Leverton House. We will stay at the Best Western Plus. Sunday, we board a tour bus to Hill District of Easton, oldest free Black community in the USA, visit Bethel AME & Asbury UMC & USCT home. Douglass consecrated in the 1800s and visit site of first AME Church and take a ferry to the Waters Edge Museum in Oxford and pour libations to the ancestors.

EXPERIENCE the world of Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass and the men and women who lived through American enslavement in Dorchester County, Maryland. Walk the plantation where Harriet Tubman escaped and led more than 70 enslaved people to freedom. Ride the waterways, which ancestor’s road to self-determination. Take a hayride along the highways and byways of the Underground Railroad, which led to the future. “The water of fear and despair that enslaved us, the ocean, is also the water of freedom and hope - the rivers, bayous and swamps that freed us” (Frederick Douglas)
