The first official Wisconsin Week of Rivers will be May 23rd to May 26th, 2024!
The host camp will be River Forest Campground and Rafting located on the Wolf River in White Lake, Wi.
Campsites and cabins are both available. We will announce when you can book your campsite soon.
Please respect the campgrounds and the other attendees. Follow the rules put in place. Clean up after yourself and take care of everyone around you! Lets make this an event to remember!
This event is meant to bring the kayak and canoe communities together for a fun filled week of paddling and socializing! Every morning, there will be a morning meeting at the base camp to plan the days trips. Trip coordinators will announce the river they plan to paddle, the type of experience to expect and the required skills to run said river. From there, each group will meet up and coordinate shuttles and all the details for that trip.
Trip coordinators are on a volunteer basis and there can be no guarantee that the river you want to run will have a trip planned. If you want to volunteer to coordinate a trip, be ready to announce it at the morning meetings.
Plan accordingly. Know your capabilities. If you plan to run a river, make sure its within your capabilities. If you plan to step up to a river above your normal capabilities, communicate this to the trip coordinator and others on the trip so they can work with you on the river.
Safety is key! The goal is for everyone to have fun and have a safe run down river!
We will have activities planned for after each river run back at camp. Trivia, games and socializing!
There will be a daily river board showing what is running and at what levels. We will be monitoring levels throughout the day and night in order to keep everyone up to date.
