If you are a card-carrying Wisconsinite, you’re probably using them for Euchre.The third installment of our popular 2025 Wisconsin Master Class series celebrates Wisconsin’s favorite indoor pastime—Euchre.
On September 28, VFW Post 9511 will host a Hometown Euchre Tournament, with three places awarded: highest score receives a Euchre tournament belt bigger than your head, second highest scorer takes home a wonderfully tacky trophy, and lowest scorer becomes the proud owner of a cement skunk(ed) statue. This is a singles tournament, with a maximum of 60 players/15 tables.
Are you new to the state, or perhaps somehow grew up in a hole without learning Euchre? We got you covered! The Mount Horeb Women’s Euchre League has volunteered to offer two training session. These casual and low-pressure gatherings will be held at the Driftless Historium on Monday, September 8 and Monday, September 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Registration is required for each of the three programs (Training Sesson #1, Training Session #2 and Hometown Tournament), and limited seating is available.
The training sessions are FREE.
The Hometown Tournament has an entrance fee structure: $20 general admission, $15 for current MHAHS Members up to $100 (Individual, Household, or Contributing), FREE for MHAHS Members $125+ (After Supper Club, Sustaining, Patron). All tournament registrations include one free drink ticket.
