About this Event
Have you ever been curious about cohousing? Cohousing is an intentional, collaborative neighborhood that combines private homes with shared indoor and outdoor spaces designed to support an active and interdependent community life. Join Women in Sustainability and CohoUS as we explore this space at Hearthstone Cohousing on June 14. Attendees can take a tour of the complex from 5:00pm - 5:45pm. At 6:30pm, we'll have a short talk from CohoUS executive director, Trish Becker-Hafnor. We'll discuss what it means to live in a co-housing space, the myths and benefits to the environment. We'll have time to answer all your questions about co-housing. Plus, members of Hearthstone will be available to provide insight into their experiences. We will have light snacks and drinks (alcohol and non-alcoholic) available. This event will take place in the Common House at Hearthstone Cohousing. Networking time will also be available for members to explore their own curiosities around cohousing.

Hearthstone Cohousing is a cohousing community in the old Elitch Gardens site in Northwest Denver. Cars are kept tucked away, allowing for car-free gatherings and safe play areas for kids. It is surrounded by many conveniences within walking distance.
