The Singing Cafés have been running for about 11 years on the Wirral, currently performing regularly at five locations in Heswall, Hoylake, Bebington, Wallasey, and West Kirby. This concert at the Lady Lever will be the first performance by the Singing Café musicians outside of the usual café venues.Books of words to well-known songs are distributed, and accompaniment is provided by a piano (usually) and a number of 'lead singers'.
Twice a year these amateur musicians rehearse and put on concerts at the café venues – some classical pieces, popular songs, the Broadway songbooks, jazz, and a lot more!
Come along and join us in the main hall for a first of its kind performance. The performances will take place 1.30-3.30pm with a 20 minute interval.
