Course Description:
Designed as a multi-media presentation to prepare students to be the affiant, case-agent, or supervisor on a state or federal wiretap, this course uses examples from film and television, as well as real life case studies, to aid in the understanding of the concepts being taught. An introduction to the tools available to and methods employed by investigators wishing to use wiretaps and other forms of electronic surveillance, the course provides students with an overview of how to approach long-term casework and how to systematically attack the investigation to facilitate court ordered eavsdropping.
