Make the most of your wireless microphone system!
As the pool of available frequencies diminishes, frequency selection and coordination are increasingly critical to the successful design and deployment of wireless microphone and in-ear systems.
The Wireless Fundamental course covers the successful setup, deployment and operation of multi-channel wireless systems. It is tailored for real-world application encountered in today’s productions.
Topics covered include:
• Radio fundamentals and propagation
• Antenna placement, multi-path interference & diversity reception
• Multi-system compatibility, and frequency coordination
• Squelch, batteries
• Wireless management tools
The course uses Shure Wireless Workbench version 6 (WWB6) for configuration, control and monitoring of wireless audio devices.
Who should attend this course:
Recommended for any audio professionals involved in the design and operation of wireless audio systems.
Attendees should have previous experience with wireless audio systems and be familiar with technical terms and concepts.
Presenter:
A love of musical theatre and live sound saw Richard move to Auckland in 1994 to study Audio Engineering.
Since graduating in 1995, he has been involved with more than 100 theatrical productions across Auckland and worked with some of the country’s leading musicians. Richard is experienced in the setup and operation of multi-channel wireless microphone systems for theatre and has gained many nominations and awards for best sound design.
As a staging technician, Richard has used wireless microphones for musical performances, seminars, workshops, public meetings and awards dinners, and understands that the reliability of a wireless microphone system is paramount to a successful event. He has completed the Wireless Masterclass certification with the Shure Audio Institute and attended live training sessions with Shure’s industry leading experts.

1:00pm - 5:00pm
Requirements:
Attendees will be provided with a copy of Shure WWB software for both PC and Mac. You are welcome to bring a laptop if you wish, to work along, but it is NOT a requirement.
