To help celebrate Lead's Winterfest '25, the Lead Deadwood Arts Center is sponsoring a "Snowman Art Contest." And, because Winterfest '25 falls on Valentine's Day this year, the Arts Center is also hosting a "Heart Art Contest." Create your own unique snowman and/or heart from any art media such as fabric, glass, metal, beads, wood, paper, etc. Bring your finished creation to the Arts Center before 3 p.m. on February 11th and enter it in the contest. There is no registration fee, and there will be a "Snowflake Ornament Award" for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. All ages are welcome to participate, there will be a youth and adult division. An open house to unveil the exhibit and to announce the winners will be held on Friday, February 14th from 4 to 6 p.m. with light refreshments served. The art will remain on display until March 1.
