Join us for Winterfest 2026 at Ski Sundown – a festival of winter fun! Put on your favorite winter costume, funny hat or helmet cover and celebrate the winter season with us! This event is free to anyone with a Ski Sundown lift ticket or pass! Winterfest festivities will include:- 11:00am-1:00pm: Face Painting and Balloon Twisting
- 11:30am-12:15pm: Meet and Greet with Pip the Penguin
- 12:30pm-2:00pm: Live Ice Sculpting demonstration
- Penguin Coloring Contest with prizes awarded
Our Penguin Coloring Contest will begin in the weeks before Winterfest 2026 at Ski Sundown. Simply download and print your contest entry or pick one up at the Welcome Center beginning January 1st for your chance to win! Please submit your entry by 11:00am on Friday, Jan. 23rd, 2026. Ski Sundown will choose winners from five age categories: ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-11, and 12-adult. We will announce on social media when winners have been selected and send a follow-up email with instructions for prize pick-up. Also, finalist’s entries will be placed on display inside the lodge.
