Deze winter komt de Argentijnse allround danser weer enige tijd in Europa doorbrengen en dit keer heeft hij wat meer tijd om Scala te bezoeken en heeft hij besloten o.a. een mini cursus Milonga te geven.
Als je Milonga leuk vindt, maar je wilt het beter leren dansen, dan is deze cursus iets voor jou! In deze Winter Milonga Workshop serie verfijnen we de passen die je al kent en leren we nieuwe figuren die handig zijn om in kleine ruimtes te dansen — waarbij we altijd sterk de nadruk leggen op de basis.
En aan het einde van de cursus werken we aan enkele Milonga Traspie-combinaties.
Voor een betere vooruitgang kun je het beste de volledige cursus volgen, maar je bent ook welkom om aan afzonderlijke workshops deel te nemen. De cursus staat open voor zowel koppels als individuele dansers van alle niveaus. De prijs van elke workshop is € 15 per persoon.
De data van deze mini winter cursus zijn:
9 januari, 30 januari en 13 februari.
De workshop start om 19.00 uur en duurt ca. 5 kwartier.
Registratie is niet nodig, kom gewoon op tijd binnenlopen als je mee wilt doen.
Blijf na de workshop om tijdens het Tango Café comfortabel en harmonieus te dansen. Entree 6 euro (niet begrepen in de workshopprijs)
Over Marcelo:
Marcelo Héctor Álvarez is een “Profesor de Danzas Tradicionales Argentinas” met uitgebreide ervaring in het lesgeven aan kinderen op basisscholen in Argentinië sinds 1996, evenals aan volwassenen in verschillende omgevingen.
Gedurende zijn carrière heeft hij zich gespecialiseerd in tango en heeft hij les gehad van gerenommeerde meesters in Buenos Aires, zoals Gustavo Naveira, Osvaldo Zotto, Roberto Firpo & Aurora Lubiz, Milena Plebs en Chicho Frúmboli. Sinds 2005 geeft hij lessen en workshops in Duitsland, Engeland, Oostenrijk, Zweden, Nederland en andere Europese landen, waarbij hij de schoonheid van de tango en de traditionele dansen van zijn vaderland promoot en deelt.
9 January 2026: Friday night workshop by Marcelo
This winter, Argentine all-round dancer Marcelo will be spending some time in Europe again, and this time he has a little more time to visit Scala and has decided to give a mini Milonga course, among other things.
If you think Milonga is fun but you want to dance it better, this course is for you! In this Winter Milonga Workshop Series, we’ll refine the steps you already know and learn new figures that are useful for dancing in small spaces — always keeping a strong focus on the basics. And at the end of the course, we’ll work on some Milonga Traspie combinations. It’s best to take the full course for better progress, but you’re welcome to join individual workshops, too.
The dates for this mini winter course are:
9 January, 30 January and 13 February.
The workshop starts at 19.00 and lasts about 75 minutes.
Registration is not necessary; just drop in on time if you want to join in.
Stay after the workshop to dance comfortably and harmoniously during the Tango Café. Entrance fee 6 euros (not included in the workshop price)

Marcelo Héctor Álvarez is a "Profesor de Danzas Tradicionales Argentinas" with extensive experience teaching children in primary schools in Argentina since 1996, as well as adults in various settings.
Throughout his career, he has specialized in Tango, learning with renowned masters in Buenos Aires such as Gustavo Naveira, Osvaldo Zotto, Roberto Firpo & Aurora Lubiz, Milena Plebs, and Chicho Frúmboli. Since 2005, he has been teaching classes and workshops in Germany, England, Austria, Sweden, the Netherlands, and other European countries, promoting and sharing the beauty of Tango and the traditional dances of his homeland.
