LOCATION: Fellowship Hall is located in the basement of the parsonage house, to the Left of the church if you are standing on the street. Please be sure to look for our Logo on signs to direct you.Join us as we learn how to prepare a treasured recipe, inspired by the great Rosemary Gladstar: Fire Cider
Fire cider is a folk remedy made by infusing various botanicals in apple cider vinegar and honey to create a hearty wellness elixir. It is traditionally used to ease symptoms of the common cold and is a great addition to your home apothecary.
In this workshop, we will discuss each ingredient, and demonstrate how to craft your own blend. You will take your creation home with you to infuse and enjoy with your family.
We will also feature a few other remedies with demonstration and discussion. More details to follow as we work them out. I anticipate they will include Garlic honey and Elderberry syrup. We will have samples of these products for you to try with recipes.
We will have light refreshments, including an herbal tea bar. You can also bring your own beverage. If you have a favorite mug, please bring it so we can reduce paper waste and be kind to Mother Earth.
We are asking for a $10 donation to take home your jar of Fire Cider, to help us cover the cost of materials. All additional funds will help support our FREE summer workshops.
