Unlock your creativity with this immersive introduction to watercolours, perfect for beginners or those looking to add freedom and looseness to their painting style. In this hands-on, two-hour session, participants will be guided through a series of exercises designed to enhance observation, gesture, and visual memory. You'll explore techniques like lifting out, washes, and graduations to create dynamic land or seascapes inspired by the elemental energy of North Devon’s winter coast.
Using a limited watercolour palette, you’ll learn how to draw from both imagination and photographs, leaving with thumbnail sketches and your own mounted A5 loose watercolour landscape.
All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your sketchbooks or personal supplies if you'd like.
