Create heat and energy through a combination of flowing movement and static postures. This workshop will combine yoga and pilates to create sequences that help keep our bodies mobile, warm and strong during the winter months. There will also be time to practise a simple technique to help slow our breathing rate down, allowing body and mind to enter a more relaxed state. A sequence of calming lying poses will wind down the session before we finish with a guided relaxation. Though kitchen facilities aren’t available, you’re welcome to bring a flask of hot chocolate, tea or warm beverage of your choice along with your usual bottle of water. You will need your own yoga mat, and do bring warm layers to wrap up in for the relaxation at the end. A yoga/pilates block, rolled up blanket or cushion is helpful to bring along as well as a resistance band if you have one.
