Elk were nearly extirpated from the Northwest. Successful reintroductions have created new conflicts of interest with humans. Wildlife Manager Greg Mackey will describe elk’s natural history in our area, their unique behavior and physiology, and the management challenges created by such a powerful, mobile, and social animal.
*This talk will also be live-streamed on YVC's YouTube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/@YakimaValleyCC
*Our friends @YVVintnersYakima will open the Yakima tasting room, next door to the talk, for 2 hours before the event for wine tasting, food, and socializing.
