Winter sowing is a method of starting seeds outdoors during the winter months. This technique utilizes transparent containers to create mini-greenhouses that protect the seeds from harsh winter conditions while still allowing sunlight and moisture to reach them. The seeds remain dormant in these containers until the natural warming of spring triggers germination.
