What to expect from Altlawns:
-Native seeds, germination material, and milk jugs
-Help in selecting seeds for your site
-The why and how of winter sowing
The seeds provided for winter sowing will need to be outside in the cold for 30-90 days. After the winter sowing events, we will then get together in late spring to share about your plants and support one another while creating habitat. We will be tracking what seeds germinated and which ones didn't. We will send out email reminders to track responses.
Volunteer With Us!
All levels of knowledge, from brand new to experience are needed. We are seeking volunteers to help at each of the winter sowing dates above. It's a fun group of people to be with. If you are willing to volunteer, please select the date you are available, register, and select that you are interested in volunteering with the time slot that works for you. We will be doing a short volunteer training on Wednesday night, Jan. 22nd on what to expect for those available.
