An opportunity to pause, reflect and nourish, in what can be a busy season. Book in this time to mark the returning of the light with a cosy evening at Balanced Life Physiotherapy Studio.
You will be guided through a yin sequence by qualified yoga teacher and physiotherapist, Claire. Suitable for beginners or those who have a regular practise. Yin poses are held for 3-5 minutes, often supported with various props. The focus is on relaxing the muscles and letting the connective tissue (joints) take the stress. This helps improve circulation, range of motion and sustainability. Yin yoga is also linked to Chinese medicine and the 'Meridians' (energy centres within the body).
Lauren, a trained sound healing practitioner, will use a variety of instruments through out the class. The subtle vibrations help the body to restore it's natural state of homeostasis (balance), whilst the sound supports our brainwave state to slow right down so we can access 'theta state'- the dreamy place between sleeping and waking.
Perfect for processing the year gone by and dreaming into the year to come!
We'll share a seasonal plant based meal together, providing the opportunity to reflect and chat. What has the year past brought you? And what do you want to begin to bring into the light as the daytime starts to lengthen?
There will be opportunity to journal, and create before we end our day together with a nourishing yoga nidra.
