Winter Solstice Singing Circle

, we inspire deeper connection to ourselves, each other, and the Earth through song. We believe in the healing, freedom, and joy that can come through communal singing, and aim to make that experience more widely accessible.

About Solstice: Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year - a time for deep rest, honoring the darkness, bringing water and nourishment back down to the roots, and simplifying our needs to thrive through the winter.

Winter Solstice Singing Circle: We will honor this seasonal mark with a Bonfire Singing Circle - singing towards life in the darkness. We will open with a shared meal and alter making, move outside for singing, and close the evening in reflection, sharing and sounding around the community alter.

6 - 7 pm: Indoor Community Potluck & Altar building

7 - 9 pm: Bonfire Singing Circle

9 - 10 pm: Indoor reflection & integration

*Important to Bring:

• Warm layers, we'll be outdoors for a good portion of the eve
• Potluck dish to share if you're able
• Community Altar contributions (What honors life through winter? i. e. evergreen branches, seeds, root veggies, warm fabrics)

Location: Hope Central Church is a 4 minute walk from the Green Street stop on the orange line, and has its own free parking lot across the street. We will be in the Parlor - enter the door at the end of the driveway on the left side of the building.

RSVP & Cost: We encourage RSVPs through Eventbrite, but walk-ins are welcome too. Sliding Scale $10-30. You can pay through eventbrite, pay cash at the door, or venmo @bostonareasingingcircles. No one turned away for lack of funds.
