Join us for a joyful afternoon of simple sacred songs and chants celebrating the Solstice, the shortest day and the return of the light
About this Event

Songs and chants that honour Mother Earth, sending healing out with our voices to our beautiful Earth, reconnecting us to deeper parts of ourselves and All Our Relations.

A special session at a very special venue. The Quiet View has a beautiful quiet garden where we might share some of the time outside with an outdoor fire, we are also blessed to use the beautiful cosy yurt with stove.

We shall sing some of our familiar chants and some special ones for Solstice, honouring the darkness, introspection and magic of winter (at what is often an unnaturally busy time) and celebrating the coming light. This is the time of the shortest day and longest night, with the days starting to get lighter again after the stillness of the Solstice.

The songs are simple, yet powerful, especially when sung as a group. No experience necessary. Suitable for beginners but those with more experience will be welcome to add harmony parts. We will also do some simple rounds, these are usually the most trancelike and magical.

If you have a drum you may wish to bring that for some of the songs.

Herbal teas and yummy and healthy snacks provided.

Please bring something you love or meaningful to connect with the Earth- stone, plant, crystal, feathers, natural object if you wish.

Booking Essential £22

You may also wish to stay for the Candlelit Soundbath this evening 6:30pm

**This session is followed by a Soundbath 6:30pm with hot food (provided) and connection time in between. Welcome to join either or both sessions.**

“I really enjoyed the Solstice Sacred Chants this afternoon, I’m actually quite shy, even a little group phobic, something I’m working on, but really got into it and loved it, got out of my head and into the space and met some amazing people. It was a great afternoon, and I’m still feeling its healing and peaceful effects.” M.B.

"Healing in ways I can't articulate. I can't help but smile throughout."

"Thank you N, for a wonderful session. It felt really special, especially in the dreary weather. So lovely to sing with everyone. 🙏❤️"
