The medicine drum has long been used as a healing tool. It can be used for self healing or on others; sound healing, shamanic journey, holding space and more. The drum has the ability powerfully assist in breaking old patterns and visioning new realities. If the drum has been calling, to come into your life this workshop is for you.
For many this marks the beginning of a new chapter in life. There will be an ancestral altar, where we will call upon the ancestors to be with us in making the drums, and to walk with us as we carry forward the medicine of the drum. This is an opportunity to call forth your deeper intentions and healing ancestral patterns to carry the drum with integrity and intention. The drums are made in a sacred way to honor the traditions and also a fun way to begin a relationship of magic and healing. This is a day of connecting in community as well as making a drum.
The drums are soaked in water and herbs and we will be working with these plants while we make the drums. In the past. Herbs may include Tabaco, local Sage, White Sage, Mullein, Bear Berry, Juniper, etc.. Working with the plants brings cleansing, blessing and assists with ancestral/spirit connection.

Pricing is roughly the same as buying a drum pre-made, but you experience the joy of bringing your drum to life in a beautiful way and also participate in the ancestral healing ceremony, which will deepen your relationship and intentions in carrying the drum. It is these experiences that makes this gathering so special. 16 or 18 inch recommended for best combination of size, sound quality and ease of handling. Other sizes (smaller and larger) and hides (moose, cow, etc) may be available - Inquire for availability and pricing. Please plan ahead as it takes extra time to acquire these materials.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Michael ‘Heartsong’ Cutter is a life purpose hand analyst, coach and shamanic healer. Michael's personal transformation happened as a result of a period of severe depression, homelessness and life threatening bout with Chrons disease. On life support in critical condition he received a vision, calling him to meet the shamans that would train him to be a healer. Against his doctors advice he walked away from western medicine, trusting in the vision. This path tested his faith deeply and has led to profound healing.
Michael has spent the last decade with Elders and Shamans from around the world. This has led him to the African Kalahari to spend time with the San Bushmen and a South African Sangoma whom he has worked with for years. Michael worked closely with Navajo healer completing the master Featherway teacher training and 6 month shamanic practitioner training. He also completed a 6 month Sandra Ingerman style shamanic practitioner training. Michael works with Itzhak Beery and Ecuadorian Yachaks and other Shamans in Ecuador, where he travels for ceremonies and apprenticeship.
With multiple certifications in healing arts including IIHA Life Purpose Hand Analysis,, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and over 25 years of breathwork practice, he brings a diverse perspective. He is a bridge of ancestral wisdom into modern life.
