Open circle for all men + women, only.🎄Yule is one of the longest winter traditions in the world, dating back to the 5th Century. The winter solstice marks the shortest day of the year and is a time of deep reflection and celebration of the return of the Sun & Light.
- Please bring a nature offering from the land you reside. It can be as simple as a leaf, Walnut/Acorn, rock, etc.
🕯We will spend the evening by candlelight & in meditation, preparing for the long nights ahead.
- Please bring something special to contribute to the Yule Altar. (Make sure you take it home!)
🪵We’ll decorate, carve, & mark our prayers and wishes in the YuleLog. The men will collectively carry the log through the trail in the woods & to the fire to be burned as we honor our roots. The women will follow and sing, spreading seeds for wildlife to get through the cold months. 🔥 We will gather with blankets, mittens, and mugs full of warm drinks as we burn our log. As we watch the flames consume it, we’ll share how thankful we are for the lessons that came our way this year. It's a perfect time to talk about our hopes for abundance, good health, and happiness in the next twelve months.
- Please bring any of your bills, calendars, receipts, documents, schedules, flyers, mail, + anything else that no longer serves you from 2024 or before to be burned at the fire as a symbol of letting go of the year & turning all that those things represent (capitalism, systems, control, etc) to ash. 🧾🔥
We will come back in to feast; eat, drink & be merry.
- Please bring a clean dish to share with everyone! 🥘
Unfortunately, Due to the amount of fire at this event, only nurslings who are immobile or can be worn the whole time will be able to circle with us this time.
