If you’re interested in winter weather, Meteorologist Tom Atkins will be hosting a Winter SKYWARN training session. It is a comprehensive presentation developed by the National Weather Service covering winter weather in our area, how it develops and how you can be part of reporting it to the Weather Service. It is free and open to the public and will last approximately an hour and a half and there will be time for questions after the class. We’ll look at lake effect snow, ice storms wind chill and many other forms of winter weather.
