5 days learning how to plan and then carry out safe travel in Scotlands stunning winter mountains. Based out of Aviemore we will be placed well to utilise the Cairngorm mountain range with it's relatively easy acccess. The 5 days are progressive and look at equipment including how to use an ice axe and crampons as well as the all important when to use them, along with winter navigation and asssessing the snow pack. At the end of the week participants should have the confidence and knowledge to undertake their own journeys in this amazing environment. Perfect for the summer walker looking to get into the winter hills.
The fee does not include equipment hire and accommodation although I am quite happy to assist with this.
