British pianist, Phillip Leslie is known for his captivating playing and diverse programming. Praised for his sense of “culture and refinement” (Liszt Society) and described as “a real artist” by the Keyboard Charitable Trust, he is fast becoming one of UK’s leading young artists. Since making his Southbank Centre debut in 2019, he has performed across the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden & France including performances at Salle Cortot, Steinway Hall, Palau de la Musica, St John’s Smith Square, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Castellon Auditorio, St John’s Smith Square, Bridgewater Hall & the Wigmore Hall.A Park Lane Group Artist, Live Music Now Artist, Cross Trust & Keyboard Charitable Trust Artist, he was the recipient of the Weingarten Prize & Silver Medal Keyboard Award for his studies. He recently gave his Emerging Artist debut recital at the Usher Hall for their 2023/24 season. A laureate of numerous competitions including the Liszt International Piano Society, Anton Rubinstein & Gothenburg International Piano Competitions, he has worked with orchestras including the Scottish Sinfonia and Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras. In an all encompassing repertoire, Phillip has broadcast works by Kenneth Leighton on BBC Radio & given numerous world premiere performances. Festival appearances include Endellion, English Music Festival, Hertfordshire, Concerts of the Tempietto & Perth Festival. He studied at Trinity Laban, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, RNCM & L’Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. He currently teaches at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance and the City Literary Institute.
