Chatham Rabbits Waverly Takeover — The Initial Winter RambleIn 2026, Henderson County will host the initial Winter Ramble, a new, countywide celebration of American mountain music rooted in front porches, churches, and intimate rooms across the Blue Ridge. Rather than a fenced-in festival, the Winter Ramble is designed as a wandering weekend, with music unfolding naturally in breweries, galleries, cafés, and small stages throughout the community.
Within this first-ever Winter Ramble, we’re creating something intentionally small and deeply personal.
The Chatham Rabbits Waverly Takeover is a guest-only, weekend-long experience, available exclusively to those staying at the Waverly Inn during Winter Ramble weekend. It’s built around time with long sets, shared meals, and space for real connection with the artists and one another.
The Takeover begins Friday, February 27, 2026 with a 90-minute-plus Chatham Rabbits performance at Continuum Art at 8:30 PM, presented as part of the inaugural Winter Ramble. VIP access is included for Waverly Inn guests and offers early entry and two drink vouchers.
Saturday morning at the inn starts slowly with a mimosa breakfast — two mimosas per person (non-alcoholic options available).
Later on Saturday, guests gather for a 1:30 Lunch with the Chatham Rabbits, featuring an abundant lunch buffet and an intimate conversation with Sarah and Austin about songwriting, tradition, and the role of community in keeping this music alive.
The weekend closes on Sunday, March 1, 2026 with a 10am Brunch with the Chatham Rabbits, including a final musical set. Unhurried, generous, and rooted in togetherness.
All musical sets throughout the Waverly Takeover will run 90 minutes or more, leaving room for stories, spontaneity, and meaningful connection.
