Why Polework?
MY ETHOS: There are no quick fixes or shortcuts in my sessions and I encourage riders to explore how their horse thinks, acts and learns. I believe our partnerships with our horses are at their best when the horse learns through understanding what is required of them and finding enjoyment in the task, and that riders are at their best when building self awareness, knowledge and ability from the foundations upwards.
Correct training using kindness, consistency and awareness is paramount in all that we do with our horses.
Polework exercises are a great way to bring an appropriate level of challenge alongside variety and fun into our schooling.
In these sessions we discuss and develop exercises to each individual horses needs, building correct foundations to movement and training. Poles are a great tool to develop better proprioception (awareness) , or identify and correct issues in straightness or suppleness.
We work predominately in walk and trot with aims of developing a more correct way of moving and helping to identify and remedy training issues.

* Groups of 2 people for 50 minutes.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
More than 48 hours notice: full refund minus admin fee
Otherwise refund only if place can be filled.
Horses must be sound and in good physical health, and should have received a flu vaccination within the last 12 months.
