WHAT: Join your Canine Companions friends (and lots of others!) walking in the Winter Park St. Patrick’s Day parade! It is a one mile walk/roll down Park Avenue. Every year, we are one of the most popular groups in the Parade – so grab a leash and come get some of the “Luck of the Irish”! Dress yourself and your pup to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day – the sillier, the better!! (But don’t forget their vests!) WHO: Puppy raisers, Graduate teams, Chapter Members, Volunteers. Puppies in training must be 9 months or older (if there is any question about the dogs ability to handle environment, please reach out to Ashton Roberts before participating. Release dogs AND Therapy Dog teams are welcome – please see specific Therapy Dog guidelines below.
WHEN: Saturday, March 1, 2025 – lineup is at 7:45am-8:15am (don’t be late!) and the Parade begins at 9am. It is about an hour-long parade. Come early to help decorate our float that will carry Indy!
WHERE: The parade route is down Park Avenue in Winter Park. Exact lineup location to come.
GUIDELINES, DISCLAIMERS, ETC: One dog per handler. You do not have to have a dog to participate. Therapy dogs with vest on may ONLY be handled by their certified handler while walking in the parade. The vest does not go on the dog until they are in parade lineup and comes off immediately at the end of the parade.
