This event takes place in The Great Hall, IMMA.


Volume 11 of Winter Papers, Ireland's annual anthology for the arts, is published by Curlew Editions. It offers fiction, non-fiction, photography, visual art, along with craft interviews and in-conversation pieces on writing, film, theatre, photography, music, and more.

Join us for the launch of Winter Papers 11 with readings and conversation from some of this year's contributors – Natalia Campos, Darren Murphy and Susanne Stich – along with the anthology's co-editor Kevin Barry.

Natalia Campos is a photographer, originally from Brazil and based in Dublin for the past nine years. She has completed a cinematography course at Griffith College. She has documented a variety of social and cultural events across various communities in Ireland, with a particular focus on the Brazilian
diaspora.

Darren Murphy is a playwright and essayist from Aldershot who lives and works in Dublin. He teaches at DCU and has written a handful of plays, the latest of which is the forthcoming A Poor Girl from Kilbreaga.

Susanne Stich lives in Inishowen. Her stories have appeared in The Stinging Fly, Banshee, The Pig’s Back, The Irish Independent, Ambit and elsewhere. She won the Irish Novel Fair, and was shortlisted for the Bristol and the RTÉ Short Story Prize.

Kevin Barry is the author of four novels, most recently The Heart in Winter, and three short story collections, including, That Old Country Music. His awards include The Impac Dublin Literary Award, The Goldsmiths Prize, The Rooney Prize for Irish Literature, The EU Literature Prize and The Sunday Times Short Story Prize. His work has been translated into more than thirty languages. Kevin also works as a screenwriter and a playwright. His most recent play is The Cave which was staged at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin in summer 2025. His stories and essays regularly appear in The New Yorker, Harpers, Granta and elsewhere. He co-edits and publishes Winter Papers, Ireland’s annual anthology for the arts. He is a member of Aosdána. Originally from Limerick city, Kevin lives in County Sligo.
