WE CAN'T WAIT!The Food Works Winter Farmers Market is gearing up for our biggest event of the market season!
Saturday, March 15th is our annual Plant Giveaway event! 9am-12pm at the University Mall Theater Entrance. Plants are provided by Shade Tree Farm and One Circle Eco Farm, with guest expert gardener, Elizabeth Garnati of Box Turtle Seeds there to answer any questions. Soil mix is provided by Gro Up Gardening Carbondale!
We decided to invite some friends to celebrate with us:
-Carbondale Food Autonomy will be facilitating Seed Starting!
-The Humane Society of Southern Illinois will be at the market for the last time with their discount spay and neuter vouchers!
-The Rainbow Cafe will be face painting!
-Little River Resource Center will be there tabling!
-We will see the Southern Illinois Collaborative Kitchen
-SNAP Educators will be there from the St. Louis Area Food Bank
And last but certainly not least, The Cattails are our musical guest!
