Join us for a vibrant celebration at the Creative Barking & Dagenham Winter Light Parades! Led by the internationally acclaimed street theatre company, Picto Facto from Toulouse, France. Expect to see giant inflatable puppets, hear lively music, and experience the lively streets of Barking and Dagenham. Get ready to immerse yourself in this unique experience as the parades light up various locations across the borough!
What to expect:
For the parade, Picto Facto are presenting their roaming show 'Lampadophores'. This whimsical show fills the streets with larger-than-life, illuminated characters that parade to music and unique choreography, creating a vibrant and bold, interactive experience. Each giant “lamp-bearer” shines bright, inviting you to be part of the fun by carrying lanterns alongside the performers.
Please note: These events are designed specifically for the people of Barking and Dagenham to celebrate our local community. We kindly encourage those living in or connected to the area to sign up and join the festivities!
The Winter Light parades will take place in various locations across Barking and Dagenham. Check to find the one that works best for you:
Tuesday, 19th November - Becontree Estate, Dagenham - meet at Valence House
Wednesday, 20th November - Barking Riverside - meet at the Rivergate Centre
Thursday, 21st November - Marks Gate - meet at Marks Gate Community Hub
Sunday, 24th November - Barking Town Centre - meet at Barking Town Hall Square
