Join us as we explore this restored wetland island. Winter Island, once a privately owned hunting club, was purchased by the state of California to be restored to wetlands habitat. They completed restoration November 2019 and broke levy's to restore tidal flow. This has created a beautiful area for human powered craft to explore this once inaccessible island. Winter Island is home to river otters, beaver, mink and various species of waterfowl. We will paddle to the southern tip of Winter Island before returning with help from the tide.This 2.5 hour tour is good for both beginner and experienced paddlers. we strongly suggest a tandem kayak for beginners or for those who haven't paddled in awhile.
$79 per person includes kayak, paddle, PFD and guide. Paddle pants available upon request at no additional charge.
