Louisiana hosts a surprising variety of hummingbirds during the winter months! As the iconic Ruby-throated Hummingbirds head south, several other western species take their place, and if you're lucky and prepared, you may host one or more in your yard this winter.
Jane Patterson, President and Education chair of Baton Rouge Audubon Society will present information about which species of hummingbird to expect here in the cooler months, how to identify them, and how to support them with feeders and plants.
