About this Event
Reset Outdoors Winter Hike is a regular group outing designed to increase your general sense of well-being and connection while combining gentle exercise and time spent in nature.
Our mindful hikes begin and end with a personal check in using our THRIVE Compass tool. During some hikes, we go to our halfway point and the group is led through an experiential exercise before we head back. During some hikes, we just engage in meaningful conversation and make social connections to like-minded friends.
Our events are a safe space intended to foster a sense of community, while promoting time spent outdoors & self-care. The Winter Hike Series is an opportunity to showcase the beautiful Pennsylvanian landscape during traditionally non-hiked months - an exposure to the opportunities available to you in your local greenspaces.
Each month we host community hikes for the greater Lehigh Valley area, meeting throughout different trails in the valley. Our Reset Community Hikes are a great opportunity to reconnect with the natural world or experience it for the first time. Reset Hikes are open to all community members of any fitness level, and aim to be accessible to everyone -- please let us know how we can help accommodate any needs you may have. No hiking experience necessary! We look forward to meeting you and enjoying a hike together!

All hikes take place on Saturday Mornings at 8:30AM to approximately 11:00AM. We will call a cancelled event due to weather at 7PM the Friday evening prior to day of the hike and will contact everyone who signed up immediately. Hikes cancelled due to inclement weather will attempt to be rescheduled and communicated with all those signed up.
Our goal is to begin our check-in activity at 8:30AM and be on the trail shortly after. Please arrive at the park before 8:30AM to find the group and for any necessary preparation time (applying extra layers, cleats, etc). Our hikes are anywhere from 1.5 to 3.5 mile walk through moderate/varied terrain with gradual elevation gains that could be challenging for some. Some trails are simply walking through a natural landscape together. We aim to finish anytime before 11AM.
Note to Participants:
Please be sure to check the weather beforehand and dress appropriately. Don’t forget layers! Attendees MUST bring a full water bottle and appropriate accessories for a winter hike - gloves, ear coverings, and adequate footwear. If you have any medical conditions that might impact your hike, please alert the facilitators upon your arrival, and bring any medications you might need (inhaler, epipen, heart meds, etc).
If you are not able to attend please make sure to let us know at least 24hrs in advance so we can open up a space for someone else.
We cannot wait to see you out on the trails!
