In this 3-hour plant walk, we will be trekking just down the road towards the wild field and forest called Thompson Field. As we meander on this brisk winter day, we will discover the plentiful variety of plants still available throughout our rugged New England Winters. You will learn how to be an opportunistic forager and use the resources you have available year-round in your area. We will get an up-close look at the plants and learn how to identify, forage, process and make herbal preparations with these winter plant allies! Bring a foraging basket or bag and bundle up for this chilly, but magical learning experience. We will meet at Misty Meadows and walk to Thompson Field together.
