Spend an evening of star-filled wonder exploring the clear winter night skies. Winter provides some of the best stargazing of the year, due to the lack of haze and humidity, early dark nights, and often clear conditions. Participants can expect to learn the basic winter constellations visible over New England, as well as learn how to orient themselves to the night sky and find some of the visible planets in our solar system. Expect to hike less than half a mile on uneven terrain to the top of North Meadow.
