About this Event
Join us for Winter Colors: Soundscapes for Flute and Piano, featuring flutist Eva Elizabeth Skanse and pianist Ekaterina Knyazeva. This noon-time concert, inspiried by the icy blues, evergreen needles and warm, pink-orange glows of the Minnesota winter takes us through a variety of 19th, 20th, and 21st century composers. Immerse yourself in the colors of Ian Clarke, Freidrich Kuhlau, an original arrangement of a work by Edgar Girtain, and revel in the drama Cesar Franck's beloved Sonata. The concert will take place in the Summit Room on the ground floor of the University Club. Free admission, suggested donation $20.
