Amazing Grace documents the recording of Aretha Franklin’s incredible live gospel album of the same name. The film was originally slated to be released alongside the album in 1972, but because of technical mistakes made by the filmmakers, the sound could not be synced with the footage until decades later, when we’ve now been granted access to witness the spiritual transcendence that Aretha was gifted through the power of her voice.
See it Friday, Feb. 28 at 7. The bar opens at 6, so come early for special cocktails.
