It’s week six of the 2025-2026 Winter Challenge! Because we’ve officially entered the rainy season, we are now meeting at Loowit before each run. This week we’ll finish at the park by the clock tower, then head to Brother’s Cascadia Evergreen Pub for post-run libations. New here and curious about the challenge? I’d love to tell ya - the mission: run with us for at least 14 of 18 weeks between the end of daylight savings time and when it begins again in March. The reward? Likely soggy shoes, an appreciation for the warming effects of a good post-run beer, and a limited edition commemorative (and very creatively designed) RGC winter challenge shirt!
🦺🚨: it is now dark when we run - please consider having reflective gear and/or a headlamp. We want you to be visible. Here at RGC, running is our passion but safety is our top priority.
The run details:
👥: you & anyone/everyone you know - this is an all-ages, family-friendly event! (let's keep this group growing!)
❔: run or jog or walk or crawl a 5k (or 8k for those ambitious souls) along the Vancouver Waterfront
🏁: start/finish are at Loowit Brewing // after party this week is at Brother’s Cascadia Evergreen Pub
🕰: 6:50pm pre-run social, 6:55pm announcements, & 7:00pm step-off
